Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy a special computer?
No. Daylight runs in the web browser on any computer, laptop, tablet or phone you already have. A barcode scanner and receipt printer are optional; most standard USB ones work.
What happens when the internet goes off?
The Point of Sale keeps working. Sales are saved on that computer with a temporary receipt number and upload automatically when the connection returns. Nothing is recorded twice.
Is my pharmacy's data safe?
Each pharmacy's data is completely separate and protected by secure logins and role-based access. Data is backed up every night, and every important change is recorded in an audit log.
Can I sell a single tablet from a box?
Yes. Set prices for a tablet, a strip and a box. Stock is counted in the smallest unit, so selling a strip of 10 takes 10 tablets from stock.
Does it handle VAT, NHIL and GETFund?
Yes. Mark your pharmacy as VAT-registered and set each product as standard, zero-rated or exempt. Every receipt shows the tax included, and the tax report totals it by month. Confirm your tax position with GRA or your accountant.
What happens after the free trial?
Choose Starter or Standard, pay the one-time GH₵1,500 onboarding and your first month by Mobile Money or bank transfer, and you're live. Everything you entered during the trial stays. If you decide not to continue, there is nothing to pay.
Online or Desktop: which should I choose?
Choose Online if you want to use more than one computer or phone, see your pharmacy from home, or need shifts, pack sizes, accounting and tax reports. Choose Desktop if you want to pay once and keep everything on a single computer with no internet.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Move from Starter to Standard when you hire more staff, or back down if you need fewer logins.
